Start from the books you already keep

Whatever software your accounts are on, all you need to bring is the ledgers and their balances.

Tally

Fetched directly

Tally Bridge, a small connector beside Tally, reads ledgers and balances for the period. Nothing is written back.

SAP

Trial balance with GL codes

Ledgers are kept by GL code and name, so the same name under two codes stays as two ledgers.

Zoho Books

From your organisation

Bring in the ledgers and closing balances of your Zoho Books organisation for the period.

Any other system

Trial balance upload

Export the trial balance from whatever keeps your books and upload it as a CSV. A template is included.

Why switch

Where your year-end time actually goes

After the books close, the time goes to four jobs. None of them is accounting.

RegroupingEvery period, the trial balance is grouped into schedule lines again, ledger by ledger.Ledgers are mapped once. Next period only new ones need a decision, and they arrive with a suggestion.
FormattingStatements and notes are laid out by hand in Excel: page breaks, print areas, fonts, signing blocks. The preview is the finished document. There is no formatting step left to do.
RecheckingAfter every change, totals, note tie-ups and comparatives are ticked again from the top.Controls run all the time and flag what stopped agreeing. The review starts from the flags.
Late entriesOne more adjustment on the last evening reopens the formatting and the rechecking.Post it once. The statements recompute and the preview is already current.

What replaces the rechecking

The checks a reviewer runs by hand are running already, on every company and every period.

How it works

Four steps, the same every period

The work you do once, like mapping ledgers and setting up notes, is kept. Each new period starts from where the last one ended.

  1. 01

    Bring in the ledgers

Fetch balances straight from Tally, bring them in from SAP or Zoho Books, or upload a trial balance exported from any other system.

  2. 02

    Map to schedules

Assign each ledger to its schedule line once. Mappings carry forward, so next period you only handle new ledgers.

  3. 03

    Adjust and review

Post adjustment entries, fill in the notes, and see straight away whether the balance sheet still tallies.

  4. 04

    Export the financials

Preview the full report with auditor details and signatories, then export to PDF or Excel.

The late entry

Post one adjustment. Every statement updates.

The auditor asks for one more entry on the last evening. Post it, and the statements recompute from the ledgers. If a note no longer agrees with its line, you are told which one before anyone else finds it.

Features

Every statement and note, not just the Balance Sheet and P&L

Everything that goes into the signed accounts lives in one place and draws on the same numbers.

Map a ledger once, not every year

Each ledger is assigned to its schedule line. Next period the mapping is already there, and new ledgers arrive with a suggestion you confirm in one review.

Quarters that add up to the year

Prepare quarterly periods alongside the annual financials. Half-years are derived from their quarters, so they can never disagree.

More than 30 notes, already built

Each one is a template with its tables in place, so you fill in figures instead of drawing schedules. Corporate information and accounting policies come as text you can edit, and you can add notes of your own.

Custom schedules and ledgers
Add a schedule line, or a ledger that combines several existing ones.
Ledger tags
Mark ledgers as related party, or by segment and cost centre, one by one or by CSV.
Linked comparatives
Each period links to the year before it, so last year's column fills itself.
Six report styles
From Classic Gray to Statutory Serif, applied to every page at once.
Your rounding unit
Present in hundreds, thousands, lakhs, millions or crores.

Consolidation

Stop rebuilding the consolidation workbook every quarter

Every company's figures are already here. The worksheet sets them side by side, level by level, and picks up each change as it happens. All that is left for you is the eliminations.

  1. It catches inconsistent grouping

When two companies map the same ledger to different schedule lines, the worksheet says so before the group totals mislead anyone.

  2. Every group figure opens

Expand any line to the schedules and ledgers behind it, company by company. A reviewer's question is answered on the spot.

  3. You see what comes out, and where

Amounts that are eliminated on consolidation are highlighted in the company they sit in, beside a column of their own.

  4. Sub-groups are consolidated first

A subsidiary that has subsidiaries of its own gets its own Consolidated, Elimination and Final columns, and then adds into its parent.

Eliminations

You only decide the eliminations

The companies are added up for you. What is left is choosing which balances between group companies to remove.

  • The ledgers are already gathered. Every ledger tagged as related party, from every company in the group, sits in one table with its balance. Ones already eliminated are marked, so nothing comes out twice.
  • Several ledgers in one entry. Pick more than one ledger on each side, from different companies, with an amount against each. It is saved as one entry that you can edit or remove later.
  • Differences are shown, not hidden. When the two sides do not match, the entry removes the amount that does and shows what is left over, so you know exactly what to follow up.
  • Group-only ledgers stay at group level. For an entry with no home in any company's books, create a ledger that exists only for elimination. The standalone accounts are not touched.

7.40

One side is 7.40 more than the other. The entry takes out the 85.00 both companies agree on and leaves the 7.40 in plain sight.

Group statements
The Final column becomes the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and the rest, with the same drill-down to ledgers.
Notes and preview
The group financials go through the same notes, controls and print-ready preview as a single company.
Periods side by side
Add comparison periods to the worksheet, and export one period or all of them to CSV.

Exports

A PDF to sign and an Excel to review

You get two outputs: the document you sign and the workbook your reviewer opens. Neither needs touching up.

The formatting step is gone. All of it.

In Excel, the figures are final long before the document is. Here the document is finished the moment the figures are.

Excel workbook

A working file, not a dump of values

When someone still wants the numbers in Excel, they get a workbook that behaves like one you built yourself.

  • Everything in one file. Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, Changes in Equity and Notes together, or statement by statement.
  • Every figure can be traced. Totals are formulas and notes link back to the statements they support.
  • Change the unit in one cell. Change the report unit and every sheet moves to lakhs, crores, thousands or millions.

An audit or CA firm

Prepare financials for many independent clients in one workspace, with each team member seeing only the clients assigned to them.

Questions

What teams ask before they move

How long does it take to get started?

One sitting for a first draft: bring in the ledgers, map them to schedules, and the statements are there. From the second period it takes less, because the mappings are already in place.

Can we bring in last year's figures?

Yes. Upload last year's closing balances along with this year's and they appear as comparatives. After that, each period links to the one before it.

Who can see our data?

Only the people you invite to your workspace. Admins see every company; everyone else sees only the companies assigned to them.

Do we have to change anything in Tally?

No. Tally Bridge is a small connector that runs on the machine where Tally is open. It only reads ledgers and balances for the period you ask for. Nothing is written back to your books.

We are not on Tally. Does it still work?

Yes. SAP comes in as a trial balance with GL codes, and Zoho Books is supported as a source too. For anything else, export the trial balance from your system and upload it as a CSV using the template.

How much of the work repeats next year?

Very little. Each period links to the one before it, so ledger mappings carry forward and last year's figures appear as comparatives. You handle the new ledgers and the new entries.

Can we add notes that are not in the standard list?

Yes. Add your own schedules and notes next to the built-in templates. They sit alongside the built-in ones and export with everything else.

Can our auditors look at the work without changing it?

Yes. Invite them as auditors. They get read-only access to the companies you assign, including the statements and the edit logs.

What stops a figure from changing after sign-off?

Locking. A manager locks the period when it is final, and only a workspace admin can unlock it. Every edit before that point is in the log.

One sitting for your first draft. Less every period after.

Create a workspace, add your first company and bring in its ledgers. Your first Balance Sheet is one mapping session away.
